Care & Maintenance
Learn how to keep your new laminate flooring looking like new.

How to Care for Your Laminate
Laminate flooring is the ideal mix of style and performance. It has the classic aesthetic of hardwood with added durability that can hold up to kids, pets, and well...life. And we have tips to make sure your new flooring stays looking its best!
Preventative Maintenance For Your Laminate
Daily care should include sweeping, dry mopping, and vacuuming as needed. If you use a vacuum, be sure not to use a beater bar, as this can scuff your flooring. For a deeper clean, use a manufacturer-approved cleaning product only.
Strategically place doormats at the entry to the rooms to capture any dirt or debris before it's tracked onto your new floor. Also, you can protect your floor from dents by placing floor protectors under heavy furniture and appliances. Also, avoid dragging anything across your laminate floors that could scratch or damage the surface.

Dealing with Spills & Stains
Most messes on laminate can simply be wiped away with a damp cloth. But remember, spills should always be wiped up quickly, as they can be very slippery.
When it comes to difficult stains such as candle wax and chewing gum or oil-based stains like lipstick and olive oil, consult the manufacturer’s guidelines for help with these difficult messes.
